LEO stands for Leadership, Experience, and Opportunity. It's about the team, the bonds of friendship, and most importantly, the service for our community, but we do like to acknowledge those students and clubs who push themselves above and beyond. Each year awards are given at the annual district convention to honor these students and their clubs.

Congratulations to this year's awards recipients! Congratulations to all of our Club Presidents and Outstanding Leos on a job well done!

In order to qualify for awards, clubs must submit their Leo 72 form, club dues, and a roster of members to the District 50 Secretary by December 31st of the year prior to the convention.

The Best Club award has two divisions:
  • Best Small Club (clubs with 50 members or less)
  • Best Large Club (clubs with 51 members or more)
Each division has a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner unless no clubs fulfill the qualifications.

The Scrapbook Award also has 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards.

The criteria for these awards can be found below:
Best Club and Scrapbook Award Criteria

The President Award

This award is given to each Club President. However, they must respond to an email sent out by the Awards Committee to ensure that an award is made and available to be presented at the convention.

The Awards Committee generally sends out this confirmation email during February prior to convention.

The Outstanding Leo Award

This award is given to the Leo (or Leos) that each club chooses to recognize for their excellent commitment to service. The awardees are chosen at the discretion of each club and their adviser(s).

Clubs may also choose to order extra Outstanding Leo awards if they wish to recognize more than one individual. However, additional awards cost $15 and must be submitted to the District 50 Leo Treasurer.
