Club Paraphernalia FAQs

  1. Does the club have to have a t-shirt?

No, your club does not need a t-shirt, however it helps to identify your team, especially at community events. Having a club shirt also makes your club visible to the public (consider it free advertising!) - they can easily identify the volunteers which can lead to future event and recruitment possibilities.

  2. Is there anything that is expected to be on our club shirt?

Your club shirt should include the following:
    a) Leo logo
    b) Lions logo
    c) "District 50 Leos" *optional
    d) sponsoring Lions Club *optional but appreciated ;)

  3. Is there a District 50 Leo logo?

There is no District 50 Leo logo at this time, however, we are interested in making one. If you or your club is interested in spearheading this project, please contact the District Chair!

  4. At some events, students are given a volunteer shirt; should they wear their Leo shirt or the volunteer shirt?

Always check with the event coordinators first! Sometimes, they need a certain color or group to stand out for participants to know who's who. Sometimes, there's no preference. We also want to represent our organization whenever possible, so again, check with the event coordinators; if they don't mind, wear your Leo shirts with pride!

  5. Are we limited to just club shirts?

Not at all! If you have the means to create hats, visors, shades, ties, caps, socks, etc, by all means, go for it! However, please consider your members and the possible financial hardships added costs may bring. If interested in creating Leo attire, consider holding a fundraiser to alleviate added fees for students and their families.

  6. Is there a specific shop or company that we must purchase Leo items through?

No. If you have a friend or know of a shop where you can have shirts and other items made, by all means support our local businesses! If you are looking for a shop, please contact the District Chair, as we have several vendors who assist in helping our Leos and Lions get their attire. Also, consider checking out the Lions Clubs International Store for ideas or specific items.
