Leo Convention Requirements
Our annual convention for all of the Leos in the State of HI will be held on March 23-26 2018 at Kilauea Military Camp (KMC) on the Island of Hawai'i. The location of convention generally follows that year's District 50 Lions Convention, however sometimes exceptions are made due to cost and location. Great opportunity to meet Leos from Hawai'i, Maui, Moloka'i, O'ahu, and Kaua'i! Learn about more service opportunities, trade fundraising ideas, have fun, and make lifelong friends!
Conventions, like most events, take time and effort to organize. There are also costs for transportation to activities, tours, guest speakers, etc.
In order to attend convention, all clubs must turn in dues and a roster by December 31, prior to the convention. Failure to turn in dues and forms by the deadline will result in clubs being disqualified from receiving awards at the convention.
Leos attending convention must pay dues, be a member of good standing, pay convention registration fees, and turn in convention registration form on time.
This year, the convention forms and registration fees are due on Feb.18, 2018
If a club is located on an island different from the one hosting the convention, they should try to book with a local airlines as soon as possible to get the best possible rates. Clubs are encouraged to look for group discounts - possibly teaming up with another club in your area to qualify for group airfare.
